DCSF Teacher Grant Recipients
Each year recipients of the DCSF grants will be posted here by year.


2009/10 ACADEMIC YEAR

GROVE VALLEY ELEMENTARY

  • Purchased 25 Dell Ultra Sharp Monitors; 
  • Provided funding for National Council of Mathematic regional Conference attendance; and 
  • DCSF purchased a new piano for the school. This was a one-time gift for Grove Valley as a new school in the district.

DEER CREEK ELEMENTARY

  • Purchased PE equipment (Badminton nets, tennis net, 25 pedometers, incline tumbling mats and yoga mats); 
  • Purchase of a Lycian 1238 Spotlight to enhance Antler Alert and performances; and 
  • $5,553 provided to purchase a resource room and Camcorder for creative hands on projects for students focusing on the arts.

 

ROSE UNION ELEMENTARY 

  • Funding for Educators Conference in Washington, DC.

PRARIE VALE ELEMENTARY

  • Purchased 8 Netbook Laptops to enhance mobile laptop lab of 24; 
  • Purchased “Study Island” a web based OCCT Preparation and Pass Mastery program for students to use at home or at school; 
  • Provided funding for Bourton Meadow Project and Children’s Literature Workshop summer conference; and 
  • Purchased 50 graphic novels (similar to comic books) to enhance library.

DEER CREEK MIDDLE SCHOOL 

  • Purchased 30 Netbook computers with Microsoft Office and mobile cart; and 
  • Purchased 12 Lego Robotics kits to enhance robotics curriculum bringing total number of kits to 36.

DEER CREEK HIGH SCHOOL 

  • Purchased High Speed Video Camera for use in several Physics and Chemistry classes; 
  • Provided funding for items to be utilized during “Spanish Masters” week to assist with meeting National Standards for Foreign Languages; 
  • Purchased a High Speed Video Camera for PAP Physics, AP Physics and Chemistry classes; 
  • Purchased Venier Probeware to supplement current probeware used in Pre-AP and AP Physics/Chemistry classes; and 
  • Purchased 11 Tubano Drums and 1 rain stick to enhance six (6) music classes and expose students to music from around the world.

2010/11 ACADEMIC YEAR

GROVE VALLEY ELEMENTARY 

  • Purchase of PE, Music and art supplies; 
  • Purchase of portable sound system to be used with the new outdoor classroom; 
  • Purchase of 10 iPads to enhance mobile iPad cart; and 
  • Grant funded eBooks library access for this school along with 10 eBook titles for Grove Valley’s library.

PRARIE VALE ELEMENTARY 

  • Purchase of 4 portable CD players for Kindergarten classes; 
  • Purchase of 4 wireless headphones for Kindergarten classes; 
  • Purchase of 3 xylophones and 3 metallophones; and 
  • Grant funded eBooks library access for this school along with 40 eBook titles for Prairie Vale’s library.

DEER CREEK ELEMENTARY 

  • Purchased sound system for school valued at $9.800; and 
  • Grant funded eBooks library access for this school along with 10 eBook titles for Grove Valley’s library.

ROSE UNION ELEMENTARY

  • Purchase of 10 iPads + Apple Care Protection to enhance mobile iPad cart; and 
  • Grant funded eBooks library access for this school along with 23 eBook titles for Rose Union’s library.

 

 




DEER CREEK MIDDLE SCHOOL 

  • Purchased various teaching items for life skills of Special Education classes valued at $3,000; 
  • Purchased 30 iPads, 30 otter boxes and hardware; 
  • Purchased 33 copies of Photoshop Elements and 3 digital cameras; and 
  • Grant funded eBooks library access for this school along with 35 eBook titles for the Middle School’s library.




DEER CREEK HIGH SCHOOL

  • Purchased AP prep materials for grades 9-12; 
  • Purchased tools and materials for robotics program totaling $3,000; 
  • Purchase of 10 iPads for mobile cart with covers and VGA Adapter cords; and 
  • Grant funded eBooks library access for this school along with 31 eBook titles for the High School’s library.
